Three Brothers Merlot Malbec Cabernet 2006Te Mānia
Three Brothers
Merlot Malbec Cabernet 2008

Te Mānia Three Brothers is a classic blend of Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.  As well as this blend of three grape varieties, Three Brothers also owes its name to the three brothers in my family as well as the Three Brothers landmark very near where we live.

Nose:  Blackcurrant and blackberry with some spice and earthy notes.

Palate:  Blackberry and blackcurrant fruit flavours with some subtle spicy oak.  Quite vibrant fruit supported by fine tannins.

Vintage:  The grapes of our Three Brothers Bordeaux blend was hand harvested.  The grapes were crushed and fermented in small open fermenters with regular hand plunging over the ferment period. The wine was then settled in tank before being racked to French and American barrels and then aged for 10 months prior to bottling.

Alcohol: 13%

Acidity:  5.2g/L

"Sweet, ripe, plummy, and spicy would describe both the aromas and the palate of this very enjoyable wine."

- Tizwine

"Te Mānia Nelson Three Brothers Red 2008 Merlot, malbec and cabernet franc. A tasty style, still vibrant and with just light oak condiments."

-Peter Saunders

"Pleasantly soft red with pure cherry, berry and mint flavours. Attractive, simple fruity wine in a clearly cool climate style."
