Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2007Te Mānia
Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Sauvignon Blanc is ideally suited to the Nelson region where a combination of warm, sunny days and cool autumn nights, help to create the intense varietal flavours for which this flagship New Zealand wine is recognised.

Nose:  Delightfully aromatic with citrus, lime, green apple and herbaceous characters.

Palate:  A mouth-filling palate showing delicious citrus, gooseberry, green apple and tropical fruit flavours with typical minerally edge.  Rich and concentrated, the mid-palate shows genuine breadth and the overall impression remains clean, ripe and fresh.

Vintage:  Warm spring weather contributed to a good flowering and fruit set. A long sunny summer resulted in early harvesting of ripe fruit in excellent flavour development.  The grapes were harvested from 5 vineyard sites.  All fruit was crushed and destemmed before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant, fresh Sauvignon characters.

Alcohol: 12%     Residual Sugar: 2.6 g/L     Acidity:  6.1 g/L

Awarded a Silver Medal at the New Zealand International Wine Show

" A lighter style with hints of ripe golden delicious apple, passionfruit and a restrained, crisp finish"

- Charmian Smith, Otago Daily Times

"Fresh and lifted on the nose displaying lime zest, capsicum and passionfruit characters. It's immediately appealing on the palate with its juicy mouthfeel, bright acidity and a clean crisp finish. A lovely refreshing wine.  90 Points, ****½ Stars"
