Te Mānia
Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Sauvignon Blanc is ideally suited to the Nelson region where a combination of warm, sunny days and cool autumn nights, help to create the intense varietal flavours for which this flagship New Zealand wine is recognised.
Nose: Delightfully aromatic with citrus, lime, green apple and herbaceous characters.
Palate: A mouth-filling palate showing delicious citrus, gooseberry, green apple and tropical fruit flavours with typical minerally edge. Rich and concentrated, the mid-palate shows genuine breadth and the overall impression remains clean, ripe and fresh.
Vintage: Warm spring weather contributed to a good flowering and fruit set. A long summer resulted in fruit with excellent flavour development. The grapes were harvested from 3 vineyard sites. All fruit was crushed and destemmed before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant, fresh Sauvignon characters.
