Nelson Pinot Noir Rose 2012

Te Mania Pinot Noir Rosé is a soft, subtle, fruity and elegant wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes.  Nicely chilled this wine is perfect as an aperitif or summertime drinking.

Nose:  Attractive, vibrant raspberry and red currant aromas.

Palate:  Deliciously creamy with fresh strawberry, and red currant flavours, a seamless palate and a clean, crisp finish.  Made in a dry style with just a touch of residual sugar to provide an appealing balance.

Vintage:  Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes and hand harvested from our vineyard.  The fruit was de-stemmed, crushed and left overnight in the press to impart the Rose’s beautiful colour.  The following morning we gently pressed the grapes.  The juice was then cool fermented (50% wild)  mostly in steel tanks to preserve the vibrant fresh Rose characters and 8% in old barrels fermented to add texture and complexity.

Organic Status:  Certified Organic BioGro New Zealand.

Alcohol: 13%                  

Residual Sugar: 4 g/L                   

Acidity: 6 g/L

 

A delightful rose, the bouquet is pristine and fragant with floral,

red cherry and subtle stone fruit notes. It's juicy and lively on the palate with excellent fruit intensity, finishing long and refreshing.

Seeking the perfect taste of summer.

Deep salmon pink with a confected strawberry aroma laced with some savoury notes.

Unctuous and fruity with tingly acids, this wine`s crisp, slightly herbaceous edge mid-palate is enjoyable and the dry, fruity and moreish finish makes this wine easy to drink.

Bright, light pink colour with faint purple hues on rim.  The nose is tight with fresh, penetrating aromas of strawberries and cherries along with gentle confectionary elements and an attractive floral lift.  Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, gentle flavours of red florals, strawberries and cherry confectionary are expressed stylishly and with delicate restraint.  Fresh, slippery acidity underlines the fruit, enhancing the sweetness and providing a smooth mouthfeel.  The fruit fades softly to a light, floral finish with a little sweetness.  This is a light, attractive, off-dry rosé with a refreshing smoothness.  Serve as an aperitif and with tapas over the next 2 years.
