Te Mānia
Nelson Pinot Gris 2011
Te Mania Pinot Gris is a soft, subtle, fruity and elegant wine. This approachability makes it an excellent match for many different foods and cooking styles from spicy Asian dishes to grilled seafood.
Nose: Fragrant floral honeysuckle aromas mixed with tangelo and apple notes.
Palate: Delicious citrus, rock melon and pear with rich caramelised apple flavours. Hints of Turkish delight and rose petals. A smooth, long lingering finish.
Vintage: Beautifully ripe fruit was hand harvested in March at 23.6 Brix after a superb, long, dry summer. Lightly cropped vines at less than 2 tonnes per acre. Whole bunch pressed. Tiny berries produced wonderful concentrated fruit flavours which were preserved by fermenting the wine at cool temperatures.
Diet: suitable for vegan diets.
Alcohol: 14%
Residual Sugar: 6.0 g/L

Pure Silver Medal - Air New Zealand Wine Awards
"The fruit characters are beautifully expressed in this appealing Pinot Gris, displaying gentle aromas of pear, ripe citrus and stone fruits. The succulent palate shows a hint of sweetness which is well countered by the bright acidity, leaving the palate refreshed and mouth-watering. 87 points, ««««Stars"
