- Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Light, dry Chardonnay in an attractive varietal style with added complexity from subtle nutty oak. Good wine that offers value at this price.” - Bob Campbell

"A big creamy mouthful of soft buttery stonefruit and grapefruit announces this is a chardonnay of the golden summer style. The oak is a gentle background spice. It’s how chardonnays used to be made before they started making them all mineral and austere and European. Peaches and cream from Nelson, right in the glass."-Ewan Sargent, The Press

"Made from four clones of Chardonnay fruit from three sites on the Waimea Plains cool-fermented to 13.8% alc. and given some oak contact.  Very pale straw-yellow in colour with some green hues, this has a light nose with Chablis-like chalky, flinty, white stonefruit aromas.  Dry, clean and crisp on palate, there is richness to the white stonefruit, citrus and melon flavours, which show a little oak and mealy backing.  The acidity is keen and provides good line, the mouthfeel with a little grip on the finish.  A wine to enjoy with seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2-3+ years.  17.0-/20  Mar 2011  RRP $19.99. «««« Stars"- Raymond Chan

"Made in a ‘fruit driven’ style (meaning not oaky), this fresh, citrusy wine is full-bodied, with grapefruit-like flavours, slightly toasty and buttery, good depth and a creamy-smooth finish. ««« ½ Stars" - Michael Cooper, Listener, June 11, 2011
